Oceanside Village Resort is a 140 cottage resort located in the Craig Bay area of Parksville BC. The project started in 2001 and is anticipated to be complete in 2011. Timberlake-Jones (TJE) was the prime consultant on this project which required an OCP amendment, rezoning, development permit and subdivision applications. TJE was responsible for feasibility analysis, site planning, topographic surveys, subdivision design and negotiations with the City of Parksville to obtain the various approvals required. TJE provided detailed design of waterworks, sanitary sewers storm drainage as well as roadworks, and site grading. TJE provided construction layout and inspection services for buildings and all infrastructure for this multi-phase project. Due to site constraints and no offsite drainage system an integrated stormwater management plan was developed for the site to store and infiltrate 100% of the 100 year storm event onsite. This was accomplished by utilizing Brentwood Stormtank modular system under shoulders to minimize site disturbance and impact of unit layout.
